1.
How do I know vacancy position, eligibility criteria and other details of the examination?
Ans.
The candidates are advised to go through the detailed advertisement on website www.ofb.gov.in or under the  tab ?Advertisement? in this portal which includes all the details/instructions including vacancies in different  Ordnance Factories, eligibility, scheme of examination, centres of examination, choice of language, how to apply  online and how to take a print out of Application & Admit Card online etc.The candidates applying for the  examination should ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility conditions for admission to the examination.  Their admission/candidature at all the stages of examination will be purely provisional, subject to their  satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions, documents verifications etc. If on verification of documents (at any time during the selection process) it is found that they do not fulfil any of the eligibility  conditions, their candidature for the examination will be cancelled.

Where will the examination be held?
Ans.
The written examination for engagement of 55thbatch of Trade Apprentices in Ordnance Factories will be  conducted at 12 centres i.e., Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jabalpur, Kolkata, Kanpur,  Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Trichy only. However, due to overwhelming response of candidates for engagement as Trade  Apprentices in Ordnance & Ordnance Equipment Factories in the 55th batch, OFRC may allot the centre to the  applicants in nearby towns and cities, in addition to the cities already notified.

When will the examination be held? How will I come to know of the events/changes taking
place?
Ans.
Written examination for engagement of trade apprentices is scheduled to be held in two phases:
Phase - I (26.03.2017), Sunday Forenoon Session 10:00 AM to 01:00 PM  Afternoon Session 02:30 PM to 05:30 PM
Phase - II of the examination will be notified soon. However, candidates should take note that any  addendum/corrigendum, changes etc in respect of change in calendar of events, vacancies etc. will be uploaded /  published through e-portal, www.ofb.gov.in/ only and no separate notice will be issued in this regard anywhere  else.

What is the language policy?
Ans.
The selection of local language will be based on the candidate?s selection of factory. For e.g. if a  candidate chooses Ordnance Factory Bolangir, the candidate can only choose regional language Oriya/Hindi/English  and the nearest centre i.e., Bhubaneswar will be automatically allotted to the candidate.Under any  circumstances, the candidate cannot choose any regional language other than Oriya and will not be allotted any  centre other than Bhubaneswar. Also, please note that the decision of Ordnance Factories in all matters relating  to the eligibility, acceptance/rejection of any application, allotment of examination centre etc. will be final  and binding on the candidate and no inquiry/correspondence will be entertained in this regard. All the  candidates can choose among three languages, one regional language depending on the location of the factory and  English/Hindi. It may be noted that as per the aforementioned language policy, the Question Paper shall  be trilingual, i.e., English, Hindi and regional language of the State where the Ordnance Factory opted for is  located. Question paper shall not be provided in any other regional language other than the regional language of  the State, where the factory opted for is located. In case of any confusion/ambiguity, the English Version of  question paper shall prevail.
   
5.
I have lost my mobile/my mobile number has changed. How do I proceed?
Ans.
In the exceptional circumstance that the candidate?s mobile number has been changed, the candidate may  intimate the same through the Help Desk.
   
6.
What is the scheme of the examination?
Ans.
The written examination will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) in OMR answer sheets. There is no negative marking for wrong answers.
   
7.
I am a Person With Disability (PWD). Can I avail the services of a scribe?
Ans.
Visually handicapped (VH) candidates and candidates suffering from Cerebral Palsy (OH) can avail the  assistance of a SCRIBE in the Written Examination subject to such requests being made at the time of application  itself (By choosing ?Yes? under the Physically Challenged Option for VH/OH-?Do You need a scribe??). After  successful completion of application form, an Application Registration Number (ARN) and password will be  generated.The candidate is required to use this ARN and password to login to his ?USER LOGIN? in this portal to  fill up his/her scribe details including Scribe ID card etc.
# Please note that the Question Papers and Answer Sheets will not be provided in BRAILLE.
   
8.
I am a Person With Disability (PWD) and I have opted for the services of a scribe. However, I am
unable  to print my admit card. How should I proceed?
Ans.
It is possible that you have not entered the details of the scribe while filling up the application form.  It may be noted that scribes will not be provided by us. Also, please take note that only PH (VH) and PH (OH-  Cerebral Palsy) candidates are eligible to avail the services of a scribe. Candidates found resorting to  unscrupulous/fraudulent means in this regard will be disqualified at a later stage.
In case of PH (VH) and PH (OH- Cerebral Palsy) candidates who have opted for availing the services of scribe,  the candidates will have to mandatorily enter the details of the scribe that they are bringing along with them  for the written examination. On providing the details of the scribe, admit card will be generated giving details  of the scribe also.
In case the candidate wishes to change his option for availing services of scribe from ?Yes? to ?No?, then  he/she may do so at the time of generation of admit card when prompted. All the candidate should carefully read  all instructions and messages displayed on screen while downloading the admit card.
   
9.
On what grounds has my candidature been rejected?
Ans. The application or candidature of the candidate may be rejected on any of the following reasons including:
1.  Incomplete Application
2.  Does not possess the prescribed qualification to undergo the trade apprenticeship in Ordnance
    factories on closing date of on-line application.
3.  Over aged or under aged or Date of Birth not filled or wrongly filled.
4.  Double or multiple applications submitted.
5.  Application without photo, photo with cap, wearing goggles, disfigured, unrecognizable/unclear
    /unidentifiable photo.
6.  Application without clear signature & LTI.
7.  Candidate's name figuring in the debarred list.
8.  Any other irregularities which may render the candidature of applicant invalid by OFB.
9.  Only a single application will be entertained. Candidature in respect of multiple applications will be
     rejected out rightly, without any notice to such candidates.
10.  Mismatch of Name, Father's name and Date of Birth in Online application form with the 10th
    certificate/ITI certificate.
11.  Irrelevance between the applied trade and the ITI trade certificate.
12.  Applying against vacancies that do not exist as per advertisement.
   
10.
Will I be assigned any user name or password on the portal?
Ans.
Yes, after the candidate has successfully submitted his/her application ONLINE on the portal, they are  allotted Application Registration Number (ARN) and a login password for the same. Candidate have to login by  providing his Application Registration Number (ARN) and Date of Birth (Or) Application Registration Number (ARN)  and password.
   
11.
Can I take a re-print of the application form?
Ans.
Yes. By logging into ?USER LOGIN? by using his/her ARN and password, the candidate can take a reprint of  his/her application form. In case of any difficulty, the candidate may intimate the same through the Help Desk.
   
12.
I am unable to print my admit card. How should I proceed?
Ans.
Candidates are requested to check the following: a) Whether their applications have been accepted or not. ??Click here?? for list of applications rejected.  In    case of rejected application, the admit cards will not be generated.
b) Also, the candidates should take note that the admit cards are being generated for the Phase - I only.  The Phase - I will cover written examination for ITI pass for all factories and ?? factories for Non-ITI  category. Written examination for remaining ?? factories for Non ITI category scheduled for Phase - II will be  notified soon and admit cards for the Phase - II will be generated later on. ?click here? for list of Factories  for which examination is scheduled in the Phase - I. 13.
What details should I ensure before printing my admit card?
Ans.
The candidate?s login will display the tab ?Download Admit Card?. Once the candidate clicks on the tab,  preview of admit card will be generated. The applicants are required to ensure that the following details appear  on the Admit Card print-out:
A. Name and Roll No.
B. Clear photo for Identification purpose
C. legible signature
D. Clear Left Thumb Impression
E. Complete address of the Centre
If the candidate is satisfied with the details in the admit card, he/she may proceed with the printing of admit  card.

How can I change my trade, factory in the application form ?
Ans.

15.
I have lost my Admit Card. How do I get a duplicate of the Admit Card?
Ans.
By logging into ?USER LOGIN? by using his/her ARN and password, the candidate can take a reprint of his/her  Admit Card after appropriate validation. The candidate can print admit card any number of times before the  commencement of the examination. In case of any discrepancy or difficulty in download of admit card, the  candidate may use the ??HELPDESK?? on the home page or mail to helpdesk@testadmin.info
   
16.
I have forgotten my Application Registration Number (ARN). How do I retrieve the same?
Ans.
The candidate can retrieve the same in the ?User Login? section, under ?Forgot Registration  Number/Password?.
   
17.
If some answers/questions in the paper are wrong according to me, how do I bring the same to
the notice  of the examination conducting authority?
Ans.
After the written examination is over, the question paper and answer keys will be uploaded on the  website/portal. If any candidate wants to contest the uploaded answer keys, the candidate can do so within 07  days (of upload of answer keys) alongwith supporting documents after paying the prescribed fees of Rs 100/- for  each question contested.The mode of payment will be specified in the web portal itself. After the stipulated  period is over, no contest shall be entertained.
